Being that we just released Knives, I thought it would be cool to show the raw, unedited drawings that made the 10 different CD covers.

The result is actually not as cool as I had hoped, but I spent like an hour making it, so I’m putting it up anyway.

Curtis and I both draw a lot in Boston, and before we recorded the new CD, we knew that we were going to use at least one of the million drawings that we’ve made up here for the album cover.

The trouble was, we couldn’t decide on just one, so Curtis or Dave (I can’t remember which) said it would be better and more of a compromise if we just made ten album covers out of the batch of drawings we had. We photographed all of our drawings (not all of them appear, only the ones that were used in some way), put them on our thumb drives, and then worked on them in Photoshop. I did five, and Curtis did five.

Red dots are me, yellow dots are Curtis’. The one has two dots because I drew it in Curtis’ notebook and then he shaded it.

Sons of Brothas is officially in business, but there is one thing: not everything works right now. I have been scrambling to fix everything I can, and so far things have been going well, but some parts of Sons of Brothas are not working. So far, the Dub Trax links, the archives, comments, Google Ads, and the “Other Stuff” pages are working, but the online registration, contributors pages, and search are (not really) working. I am fixing stuff as I go, so be patient.
